🚀 Quick Start Guide

Get up and running with CEF Core in minutes. This guide will walk you through logging in, understanding the interface, and accessing your first features.

1. Logging In

Your system administrator will provide you with a login link to your organization's CEF Core instance. The URL will look like: https://CEFCore.com

First-Time Login:

  1. Click on the login link provided by your administrator
  2. Enter your email address
  3. Enter your password (you'll receive this via email)
  4. Click "Sign In"
  5. You'll be prompted to change your password on first login

💡 Tip: Bookmark the login page for easy access. You can also enable "Remember Me" to stay logged in on trusted devices.

2. Understanding the Dashboard

After logging in, you'll land on your Dashboard. This is your home base for all activities in CEF Core.

Dashboard Components:

  • Top Navigation Bar: Quick access to all major modules (Dashboard, Loans, Notes, Accounting, Cash, CRM)
  • Financial Summary: At-a-glance view of total assets, liabilities, and equity
  • Quick Stats Cards: Key metrics like total loans, active notes, and cash balance
  • Recent Activity: Latest transactions and system updates
  • User Menu: Click your name in the top-right to access Profile, Settings, and Sign Out

⚠️ Note: The features you see may vary based on your user role. Contact your administrator if you need access to additional modules.

3. Main Navigation

CEF Core is organized into six main modules:

🏛️ Loans

Manage loan origination, payments, amortization schedules, and modifications.

💰 Investor Notes

Track investor deposits, interest accrual, and note renewals.

📊 Accounting

View general ledger, financial reports, and perform month-end close.

💵 Cash

Process receipts, disbursements, and bank reconciliations.

👥 CRM

Manage customers, churches, and other entities.

📈 Reports

Generate custom reports and export data.

4. Common Actions

Searching:

Use the search bar in the top navigation to quickly find loans, notes, customers, or transactions by ID, name, or amount.

Creating New Records:

Look for the "+ New" or "Add" button at the top of each module to create new loans, notes, customers, or transactions.

Viewing Details:

Click on any row in a table to view full details and available actions for that record.

Exporting Data:

Most pages have an "Export" button that lets you download data to Excel or PDF.
